Loring Ward Professor, Gene Fama, Receives 2013 Nobel Prize for Efficient Market Hypothesis

San Jose, CA (October 14 , 2013) – Loring Ward is pleased to congratulate University of Chicago Professor Eugene F. Fama, Sr. on be ing awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economic Science for his ground – breaking work on the Efficient Market Hypothesis. ‘ Fama’s research, which he began in the 1960s, demonstrated that stock prices are extremely difficult to predict in the short term , and that new information is very quickly incorporated into prices.
